Meet the Pros

Roeland de Kort

HEAD PRO 

Roeland was born and raised in Aruba. He was the Aruba national champion for six consecutive years and the Netherlands Antilles champion for five years in a row. He was trained by the late great Harry Hopman and has worked extensively with the likes of Spain's Manolo Santana and Venezuela's Humphrey Hose. Roeland played his NCAA collegiate years at Southern Illinois University and has a Master's degree in zoology. He spent twelve years working for the Aruban government as Director of National Parks and as an environmental policy advisor focusing on nature conservation issues. He has proudly worked with various Heads of State, including former HRM Queen Beatrix and the current King of the Netherlands, HRM Willem Alexander. Roeland is a PTR Certified Professional and has been teaching tennis for 40 years. He enjoys being on the court working with students of all ages and levels. He is high up on developing sound technique and great tactics and strategies. 

Stephen Burns

ASSISTANT PRO 

Steve Burns is an accomplished tennis coach and leader in the Wisconsin tennis community. He previously served as the head coach for both the men’s and women’s tennis teams at Ripon College and held the position of President of the Wisconsin Chapter of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) from 2015 to 2017. He currently contributes his expertise as a member of the USTA Midwest Tournament Committee.

Steve was the head coach of Notre Dame Academy’s Girls Tennis program and led the Boys Tennis team to a Wisconsin Division II High School State Championship in 2018. Prior to that, he served as the assistant coach for the Girls Tennis team from 2009 to 2011, helping the team secure three consecutive state titles.


In addition to his coaching accomplishments, Steve has been the captain of the Green Bay Men’s 4.5 USTA Team for 16 years and served as the USTA Men’s Adult League Captain for Team Wisconsin from 2015 to 2016.


Steve brings decades of leadership, competitive experience, and a deep passion for the sport to every role he takes on, whether on court or behind the scenes in tournament and league development.

Austin Sapp

PICKLEBALL PRO

Austin is a passionate pickleball coach who brings both experience and energy to players of all ages and skill levels. With over 150 tournament matches under his belt, multiple medals, and a 4.5 DUPR rating, he offers a competitive edge and a deep understanding of the game.


With six years of coaching high school sports, Austin knows how to connect with athletes and support their growth. Whether someone is just getting started or working to elevate their game, Austin is dedicated to helping every player reach their full potential.
